Every app asks for a server address.
Enter
https://media.adamtibbetts.com, then your username and password.
Phone and tablet
- Search the App Store or Play Store for Jellyfin. Purple-and-blue swirl, published by Jellyfin Project.
- Install and open it.
- Enter the server address, then sign in.
TV
Search your TV’s app store for Jellyfin.
- Android TV, Google TV, Nvidia Shield — Play Store. Works well.
- Fire TV Stick — Amazon Appstore.
- Apple TV — App Store.
- Samsung, LG — depends on the model and year.
- Roku — available, but rougher than the others.
TVs without the app
Cast from your phone or laptop, or plug in a Fire TV Stick. The stick is usually the better option — built-in TV apps tend to be slow.
Computer
Use media.adamtibbetts.com in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. There is a desktop app, Jellyfin Media Player, but it only matters if you’re particular about subtitles or audio.
Don’t pay for anything.
App store searches turn up unrelated paid lookalikes. The real app is free and
published by Jellyfin Project.
Watching offline
In the phone apps, open something and tap the download arrow. Downloads play without a connection.
